How to get to Unikai

We are located at the HHLA Terminal O’Swaldkai.
By car:
Coming from the north/south:
- Take the A7 motorway to exit 30 Hamburg-Waltershof.
- Follow the signs for Hafen/Elbbrücken.
- Turn left onto Köhlbrandbrücke.
- Drive over the Roßdamm, continue over the Ellerholzbrücke, then on the Veddeler Damm.
- Turn left before the Niedernfelder Brücke into Dessauer Str.
Coming from the east/west:
- Take the A1 motorway to the Hamburg-Veddel/Hafen exit and follow the signs.
- Follow the road. Via Veddeler Marktplt. > Prielstraße > Am Bahndamm
- On the street Am Bahndamm, keep left!
- After the subway of the street Am Bahndamm, use the right turn.
- Turn onto Dessauer Straße.
Car parking facilities:
- You can use the car park nearby (HHLA car park). Please take a ticket to enter the car park.
This must be validated by the security centre in the central gate before exiting.
By public transport:
Bus and train:
- Unikai is also very easy to reach by public transport. You can travel comfortably by S-Bahn (lines S3 or S5) and bus (line 256). Alternatively, the nearby underground station (line U4) ‘Elbbrücken’ offers another travel option. From there, however, you should expect a walk of about 20 minutes.

By bike/walking:
- Dessauer Straße is easily accessible by bike. Bicycle racks are located directly in front of the multi-storey car park.
