Thanks to its direct connection to the Hamburg Süd marshalling yard, Unikai is optimally integrated into Hamburg’s main rail routes. Europe’s largest marshalling yard, Maschen, is only a locomotive’s length away, which enables us to be fast and flexible.

Seamless from ship to rail

In addition to our expertise in receiving goods by rail, we can also load your goods from ship for hinterland transport. We work closely with numerous rail transport companies (RUs) in the Port of Hamburg.

These partnerships ensure seamless handling and high availability of transport capacity.If necessary, trains can be handled around the clock at O´Swaldkai.

Whether it’s large project loads or smaller consignments, we at Unikai are your competent partner for (almost) all rail transport. You can rely on our expertise and our logistics network to get your goods to their destination safely and on time.

With precision on the railway: Our rail siding allows direct loading and unloading at the terminal. This means short distances, fast processes and perfect dovetailing of rail and port logistics.
Big equipment for big tasks: We use special equipment to efficiently load and unload even heavy goods onto and from railway wagons.
Multimodality at Unikai: containers are loaded directly onto the railway - precisely, quickly and with the highest safety standards. This is how we get transport chains moving.

Track ahoy: With our specially designed track ramps, we can pull rail vehicles directly from the track onto trailers or drive them from the trailers onto the track. The railway is firmly integrated into our terminal concept.
